The MSR Hubba Hubba HD 1 is based on the "Backpacking Comfort" philosophy – meaning the tent is designed to be lightweight, yet spacious and significantly more resistant to wind, rain, and chilly nights. The Heavy Duty version features a rainfly that is positioned closer to the ground and a floor with a 6,000 mm water column, making it capable of handling wet grounds and prolonged bad weather. The internal space is truly usable: a rectangular floor plan (with a bedroom area of 1.82 m²) and a high ceiling of 99 cm make changing clothes and organizing gear easier. One large side vestibule (0.79 m²) safely stores backpacks and footwear, or it can be used as a work area (cooking, sorting contents of the backpack, etc.). The tent is held firmly even in gusty winds by DAC NFL poles (8.7 mm) along with stabilizing guy lines.
