Design Description This style, known as a buttercup, was very popular from the late Victorian period until the 1930s. Our classic buttercup diamond stud was designed architecturally and constructed upon its petals’ delicate (yet durable) curvature. A perfect balance of artistry and craftsmanship makes these diamond earrings unique. A luminous diamond rests at the center of each stud, held in place with uniquely beautiful prong settings at the end of each petal’s curve. We revived this vintage style using a traditional wax carving technique.
