Description Echomax Active-XS-Dual Band Radar Target Enhance / Reflector now with a flush mountable waterproof control box/alarm that can be located inside or outside at the helm station. The Active-XS amplifies and returns a very strong radar signal (see perfomance response in spes) from its low profile antenna, measuring 29 x 1.5 inches in diameter, which can mounted above the deck. A separate flushmountable waterproof control box houses controls, other vessel radar activity indicators, and a loud alarm. Both warning the approaching vessel by your very large radar return. as well as indicating that other vessels are in the area. X and S band covers all types of radars both coastal and offshore by improving your vessels radar cross section thus helping to alert oncoming vessels of your position , especially in poor conditions, thereby reduces the risk of collision. The active XS models can spot X band up to 8 miles away and S band even farther. With a minuscule current draw of just 23mA on standby and 360mA when responding to other radars the Active XS returns a signal many times the new ISO 8729-2 standard or virtually any passive radar reflector. The alarm operation features a Unique visual feature to identify S or X Band Radar paints. This quadruple alarm facility is standard in the new waterproof control without having to run external alarms and go below to check specific information. Further features include selectable audible alarm sensitivity, selectable day or night time illumination brightness, plus an extension alarm facility.
